My guinea Wuschel^-^
Why I love him so much?
His transfomation faszinates me always again. He is just such a lovely little guy. He was completely shy at the beginning - trusting noone. I wanted to try to "educate" him with this anitautoritary-thing - so only let him come to me when he wants to, everything goes from the guinea pig. I didn't think that would work at first, I mean, what guinea pig likes to be pet when it doesn't know any humans and always sits in the little pet house?
It took me more than two years, but what did I get?
An animal that loves me more than everything I have ever seen: I call his name - he comes running. I sit down in their enclosure - he comes running. I taught him some tricks likethe classic "give Paw", and he learned them within two days. He was raised basically without other guineas - only had my sisters guinea "Happy" in the enclosure, but two years ago I finally got my parents to allow me to buy him a friend - Cheyenne. He loves her - but he still comes to me if he has to choose.
He is now six years old - and still that silly curious little fellow that he used to. This snapshot shows that, as I sat down and wanted to shoot a portrait. Wuschel saw me and came running with his usual - What do you have there? Is that food? look. 5 years ago you would've neer believed that he ever would be such a trusting friend.
